The Journal was founded in 2011.
The Journal is registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media. The registration certificate is PI No. FS77-62814 issued on 18 August, 2015.
The Journal aims to objectively represent frontier research results in chemical, biological and engineering sciences obtained on the basis of state-of-the-art achievements of Russian and foreign researchers in chemistry and biotechnology.
We are committed to the:
- advancement of research in the fields of chemistry and biotechnology by means of timely publication of the most significant results;
- promotion of scientific publications by means of their indexing in reputable Russian and international citation databases;
- stimulation of collaboration between Russian and foreign researchers working in the field of chemistry and biotechnology.
The Journal welcomes original research articles, review papers and short communications that make a significant contribution to the following research directions, specified in the classification of the RF Higher Attestation Commission:

- 03.01.00 Physical and chemical biology
- 05.17.00 Chemical technology
The Journal accepts for consideration manuscripts written either in Russian or in English.
The Journal is covered by a number of abstracting and indexing services: Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) on the Web of Science platform, Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), international bibliographic database Ulrichs Periodicals Directory, EBSCO Publishing database, European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS), Open Academic Journals Index (OAJI.net). It is registered in the digital scientific libraries of CyberLeninka and Oxford, as well as in the RF Higher Attestation Commission list, which features journals that publish the results of dissertations submitted for the academic degree of Candidate or Doctor of Sciences.
The Journal is registered in CrossRef, with every paper being assigned a persistent identifier (DOI).
